Terry Pratchett - Making Money

If you’re considering reading this book, start with Going Postal.

Terry Pratchett came up with an ingenious way to lock Moist von Lipwig in another hilarious adventure. This time Lipwig has to use all his con-artist skills to convince people that you don’t need gold backing the Ankh-Morkorkian dollar.

While Lipwig revives the banking industry, we enjoy several side stories. Lipwig’s fiance searches for golden golems. Banknote designer gets his personality fixed by Igor, and mad scientist designs a machine that accurately reflects the whole Discworld economics.

This book was a fun read, and I fell in love with the main character already in Going Postal. However, compared to Going Postal, this book didn’t flow as easily. Usually, at the end of Pratchett’s book, all little story pieces fall in place like a large jigsaw puzzle, and this wasn’t the case with Making Money.
